Pediatric physical therapy promotes children’s participation in mobility, play and other activities at home, school and in the community. Physical therapy may address strength, balance, body awareness, ease of movement and postural control to improve performance with tasks such as rolling, crawling, walking or climbing stairs.

Physical therapy can also address gross motor development in infants and young children to help them achieve their motor milestones.

Our pediatric physical therapists are trained to work with the following areas:

 
 
     
  Cerebral palsy
     
  Decreased motor control
     
  Developmental delay
     
  Difficulty maintaining balance
     
  Difficulty walking or climbing stairs
     
  Difficulty with gross motor play such as running, jumping, and ball skills
