MeMe Smith M.S., CCC-SLP

MeMe founded PTC in 2004 out of a desire to provide quality pediatric therapy services in our local area. She is passionate about working with children and their families, and helping them reach their full potential. Her love of working with children began at the start of her career after receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees in 1993 from Florida State University. MeMe and her husband Joe have been married since 1996 and have two sons. MeMe enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, drinking coffee, volunteering at her church and Florida State football (Go Noles!). She enjoys all aspects of language, speech and feeding therapy, and loves to collaborate with other speech pathologists as well as physical and occupational therapists.


Julie Butler M.S., CCC-SLP
Lead SLP

Julie has been with PTC from the very beginning since August 2004 and has 26 years of experience. Julie is from Alabaster, AL but moved to Pensacola in December of 1990 after graduating with her Masters Degree from the University of Alabama. She has been married to Brian since 1992 and they have two daughters. Julie loves traveling, shopping, coffee shops, being a volleyball mom, and attending Alabama football games when possible. She has special interests in early language development and feeding therapy.


Amanda Ammons M.S., CCC-SLP

Amanda graduated from Florida State University in 2010 and began her career at PTC that same year. She loves to travel and has been to remote villages in both Nicaragua and Africa to do mission work and helped establish an orphanage, feeding program, and a Christian school. Amanda enjoys working with toddlers and young children in a variety of areas, including: feeding therapy, vocabulary expansion, speech sound sequencing training, articulation therapy, improved language comprehension, and voice and resonance. She also loves to work with young children as well as teens on adequate social/pragmatic language skills. 


Emily Mixson MCD, CCC-SLP

Emily Mixson is a Pensacola native who started with PTC in the summer of 2017. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degree from Auburn University. Emily enjoys going to the beach, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She believes that gaining a child’s trust and working in a fun, structured environment is crucial in the therapy process. Emily has a special interest in early language development, especially since she was born at 24 weeks gestation only weighing 1 lb. 8 oz!


Andrea Hagar OTR/L

Andrea grew up in Foley, Al and graduated from the University of South Alabama with her Masters Degree in occupational therapy. Andrea has been with PTC since April 2014. She and her husband have been married since 2011 and had their first little girl in March 2017. Andrea believes that every child is an individual and deserves to be treated as one. She especially enjoys working with children with sensory integration challenges and has a special interest in reflex integration.


Nikki Mills DPT

Nikki is originally from Tampa, Fl and received her clinical doctorate degree from the University of North Florida in 2016. Nikki enjoys spending time with her husband, taking their pups out for adventures, working out, going to the beach, outdoor activities, coaching cheerleading (she is a previous coach for the University of North Florida’s cheerleading team) and is a Florida Gator fan. She believes in improving physical potential and function, and independence in home, school, and community through play and fun, enjoyable therapy.


Shelby Reeder MS CCC-SLP

Shelby Reeder is a Mississippi native who graduated with her both her Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. She enjoys reading, drinking coffee, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Shelby believes that building a child’s confidence is just as important as building their communication skills. She has a special interest with children with apraxia and early language development. She recently got engaged to Justin and is busy planning her wedding.


Administrative Staff - Pace

Debbie has been with PTC since 2013 and handles all of our insurance billing. She has been married to Mike for 24 years and they have two sons. Their oldest son is serving our Country as a United States Marine, and their youngest son is in elementary school and is very involved in numerous sports. Debbie is a proud Marine mom!!!

Kelley has been with PTC since 2008 and has an amazing memory, which helps when she verifies insurance and handles referrals! She has been married to Joe since 1989 and they have a son, daughter, son-in- law and two precious granddaughters, which she loves to spend time with.

Lisa is the first person you will talk to when you call our office and she has been with PTC since 2016. She and her husband have five children combined ranging from 14 to 23 years of age. Lisa is a busy mother and wife and enjoys traveling with her husband.

Nikki Justice M.S., CCC-SLP

Nikki is an Ohio native who graduated with her Bachelors in Biology in 2011 and Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014 from the University of Kentucky.  She enjoys knitting and crocheting, playing piano, and watching Kentucky basketball (Go Cats!).  She lives in Crestview with her dog, and her immediate family loves to visit from their homes in Kentucky.  Nikki joined the Pediatric Therapy Center team in July 2014 and has a special interest in pediatric feeding disorders.  Her therapy philosophy includes integrating speech, language, and feeding skills into functional activities, as well as collaborating with other therapies to encourage carryover of skills into a variety of settings.


Sarah Bradley M.A., CCC-SLP

Sarah is originally from Newburgh, Indiana and moved to Florida after graduating from graduate school in 2015. She graduated with her Bachelors from Butler University in 2013 and with her Masters in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University in 2015. Sarah loves watching Butler basketball, spending time with friends, going to the beach and hanging out with her dog Buddha. Sarah joined our team in 2016 and has a special interest in Autism, functional communication and working with children with challenging behaviors.


Janelle King M.S., CCC-SLP

Janelle is a Freeport native who graduated with her Bachelors in 2007 and Masters in 2009 both in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University. She enjoys salsa and ballroom dancing, cooking/baking, sports, traveling, and crafting. She also enjoys spending time with her family who reside in the local area. Janelle joined the Pediatric Therapy Center team in September 2013 and has a special interest in phonological awareness and pre-reading skills, as well as augmentative communication.


Megan Toomey MS CCC-SLP

Megan has a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas. Megan has been practicing since 2013 and believes in providing a fun, functional atmosphere and collaborating with patients' families to encourage carryover of speech and language skills. She has special interests in autism, social communication, and fluency. Megan is married and has a young daughter. Megan loves to bake, play the flute, and lift weights.


Elizabeth Thigpen MS CCC-SLP

Elizabeth is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Masters in Speech Language Pathology. Her personal goal as a SLP is to facilitate functional communication to individuals considered atypical against speech and language norms. She believes all individuals have the ability to communicate effectively, and through a team approach consisting of the therapist, family, caregivers, and others, help develop each  individual’s communication skills to be enriched to their full potential. She is very family oriented and spends many weekends traveling back and forth visiting family in Alabama. Elizabeth loves going to the beach, taking her dog, Biz, to the dog park, traveling and eating her way through different cities, cooking, and watching The Office with her boyfriend Harris.

Linda has been married to her husband Chris for 35 years. They met in England while Linda was serving in the British Royal Air Force and Chris was in the military. They have two children and four grandchildren that they love to travel and spend time with. Linda enjoys sewing, scrapbooking and shopping in her spare time.
